5.0 distributor - pick up coil

Does anyone know how to test the PIP or pick up coil in the distributor? I have a volt-ohm-meter, but I'm not sure how to test this thing.

I'm getting no spark from it, has new; coil, plugs, wires, cap&rotor, and I've taken the TFI to autozone and they tested it 3 times and it's working properly. So, the only thing I can think of is the PIP in the distributor.

Have you pulled codes to see if the computer is telling anything?

I dont have anything on how to test the PIP alone. In this article, it says that testing it is very difficult and its best just to replace it if the TFI Mod is good.

take a test lite and hook it to a good ground, then probe the coil and see if it pulses on and off as yer crankin it...
