I want to convert my 98 GT to a 5 speed. I have the trans and clutch setup, what else would i need to complete it? And how difficult is it to do, besides lifting the trans? Thanks guys!

You will need the pedels, that is the worst part of it....also clutch cable, different flywheel....and I believe that is about it......

The pedals, yeah heard that you have to remove the steering column. Also Heard i need another ECU. I have a 96 Manual ECU, do i have to get it reprogrammed by ford?

yup....the pedals, change the flexplate to a flywheel, the tranny, shifter, clutch cable and all...you might at well get a billett quadrent and adjuster while you have it out....make the hole, which should be there already. or have a mark where it should be. Should not a difficult swap at all. Remember that the manual trannies take ATF in them too
