I am having problems with my clutch I have gone through about 15 clutch cables in a little over a year Other then that my car runs like a champ I have replace pressure plate fly wheel throw out bearing everything and still i keep going through cables. I have a friend that builds stangs all the time he helped me replace everything in the clutch the last time and said he doesnt have a clue what could be going wrong. Its like im stretching the cables and im not seeing anything that is visible to keep doing this. I put my car for sale on here and it was fine now its gone stupid on me again I can only put it in gear when the cars off the petal doesnt have any tension in it we have adjusted it on the quad and everything any suggestions would be great i was asking 4000.00 but im 2 the point of saying 2500. as is and i dont want to see it again. I need a 4 door anyways thats the reason for saling it. ANYONE WITH HELP PLEASE PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

check the pilot ball and also your fork, if the fork came of the pilot ball it will do that and if the fork is bent.

I was thinking that it might be something along those lines just not what i wanted to hear so I guess i will have to drop the tranny again and check all that also to do you know if a throw out bearing would cause any of this because some people are telling me that but im leaning to the same direction that you are.

Did you check out the cluth quadrant? It could be the reason for your troubles.

Get rid of it.. I snapped three of them before I went with a ford oem cable (non adjustable) I asume you have a firewall adjuster?

No problem, also, spray white lithium grease or wd40 in the new cable and work it back and forth until you feel it's coated (you need alot) this will also help keep it from binding up.
