hey guys, im going to drop the AOD on my uncle's 4 banger fox...are there any like special tools that i might need? or will just a simple set of tools do?

a lift helps a lot, make sure you have plenty of extensions and swivels

That and a good box end wrench for the drive shaft. You won't get a socket on the bolts. You Also might need some flare nut wrenches for the tranny lines

a good 12mm 12 point wrench and basic hand tools should do and jack it up pretty high on stands too.
