View Full Version : Anybody Else's CO Cobra NOT A Daily Driver?
Mine could be if I wanted it to it...runs great...no drivabilty issues. But, parking is so bad where I work that if I drove it to work, I would probably have a new "ding" every other day. About a year ago, I bought a 97 F-150 pickup for my DD. The cobra sits under a car cover, under the carport. It goes out on the weekends. Sometimes I got a 3-4 weeks without even driving it.
Anyone else not have theirs as daily drivers?

My 94 is not a daily driver any more. It was fo 3 years when I first got it in 00. Had to get the car 1st, then talk the wifey into me getting another car to drive & not drive it daily. Yep, mine sits under the car cover when in the garage, if I'm not lazy or it's dirty. I try to drive it at least once a week, but it's hard when the weather not good.

daily driver here, but since gas went so damn high i started to ease up a bit on racking up the miles :blkvnm:
I don't think I have racked up 2K miles since I got the car at the beginning of the year.

I drive over 60 miles to work and 60 miles home everyday. I have also made several trips around the south to race, I just hit 60,000 miles and knock on wood it still runs like new. My best time is 11.3 @130 traction limited and high elevation. I hope to get 10.7 or better in two weeks at Jackson SC(Year One Street Legal Races )
Very impressive for a DD!

My belief is,...Fords will run like new till the wheels fall off. :snicker:
Side note, bottom note, foot note...why have a car you don't want to drive? Drive it like you own the bitch. And paint it the color you love
Drive them Cobras.
CO section. ? Gotta go :bolt:

Mine are garage queens. They hang out under cover in the garage most of the time and come out when the weather conditions are just right lol

I care not to spend gas money for a 500HP car 15 miles to and 15 miles from work everday. Plus...she is a garage queen! I want her to be in perfect condition in 30 years. Can you imagine your Comp Orange Cobra in 30 years at a car show! This car is def a rare powerful queen! She will age incredibly graceful with time..like fine wine :mick:

mine is my DD for the tme being as that i can't afford another car quite yet. but planning on buying something else in the spring. when the car is done it WONT be daily rivable but thats not gonna be for a couple years. then it will be a garage queen.
It sucks racking on so many miles 60+/day
Not a daily driver. Mine has almost 7500 miles on it and that includes the 1,000 miles that was put on it when I moved from VA to WI. I would love to drive it everyday but I am way too picky about it (driving, roads, parking, weather). I have an old Jeep CJ-7 that I have rebuilt and that is my DD. I have always loved Jeeps and Mustangs so for me I am set. I also now have a company vehicle so they both sit quite a bit although I do save a lot on gas.

HA HA HA..I've been deployed for 4 out of the 5 months here and miss my car!! Got a roomie in my house just before I left to watch over things and start my car up once a week for me. He said when he started it up he was like "OMG!! :woot: " Well..500 ponies with a Bassani X and Borla Stingers in a garage...HA HA HA. I was like..." tell her daddy said hi and I miss her very very much! -Shane
