My 89 GT was wrecked on the front end,I need to replace the front bumper cover, headlights, left front fender, and ground effects under the door. How many bolts do I need to take off to remove the bumper cover? Is there any detailed tech article on replacing these parts? Thanks

I don't understand your question here, but the header and bumper cover are assembled and installed as one piece. Pain, I know. But how many bolts should be the least of your worries. Long storry short. all have to be removed. If you are more specific, I'll be happy to help.

I am talking about the plastic cover, you can buy them from 50 resto for like $130. They are held to the bumper with about 16 rivets and I do not know how many bolts. I just want to remove the cover. I know there has to be an easy way

There is no easy way. You have to take the whole header off and take the bumper cover off of the header. The rivets have to be drilled out. But use a punch to punch out the mandrel or you will heat up and melt the cover. Back then the Camaro and stang were built pretty similar as far as that goes.
