think mine has about bit the dust need to know how much of a pain its ganna be to put a new one in

any info would be great thanks all

well ok not sure that its that just when i start the car and i let the key turn back to the on position the car turns back off

think i just need the new ignition lock cyl maybe

like i said last night tryed to start the car and when the key turned back to the on possition it would cut off ... and it started a few weeks ago i would start the car but could not use the power windows or my radio

I would go with a lock cyl first.. sounds like it's what the problem is.

yeah thats what i was thinking too after looking up some more stuff

so how hard would a lock cyl be to change looks like just a few wires

lol! not sure, never had to change one.. it shouldn't be to hard I think it's the one wire, and a couple nuts/bolts..

No you need the ignition switch, I'd suggest getting the Ford one though if you can, and I mean this seriously, or you'll end up paying for it twice.

can see all the parts on the steering column with the cover boot removed
ah its just my luck bad things seem to happen in 3s to me just not sure what the 3rd is yet

Neither are that hard to change. I'd change the ignition switch 1st though. it's a cheap part. Less than $20 and they cause all sorts of weird problems. You will need a tamper proof torx though

its that little clip thats broken on mine

getting a new one would be better but i am out of a place to live again so any money i can save for now is good

I see. A new switch wont solve that problem I dont think, but had to do the same thing with the wifes car
