I purchased this truck back in April/May .. I paid $26,495 for it and have not regretted it since ... I used to have an 03 F-150 FX4 with the 5.4L in it... I discovered that I needed more power to tow with so i traded it for this one .... I get on average about 17 MPG in it and about 15 MPG towing the Bulldog around (if I stay out of the boost... LOL).......
Definately go with the 7.3L Turbo. The new 6.0L Turbo is a piece of crap.. atleast the 2003-2005 Models are... Ford had lots of problems with the wiring harnesses on them and they were blowing injectors and stuff.....

I used to tow with my 4.6L 99 F150....the only problem is that they start to sag after awhile. Even though my dually is a non-Powerstroke turbo diesel (94 with the 7.3L).....gotta love it. With an open trailer, I don't even know I'm towing. Unfortunately with the brick I call an enclosed trailer, it's not the case.........
If I could fit it in the parking garage at work, I'd drive it everyday. It gets about the same mpg as the convertible....18 in town and about 22 highway (not towing).

Go with the Dodge you will get better fuel mileage out of the Cummins than you will the 7.3.... Although the 7.3 is a great engine(the new 6.0 sucks).. I also know a guy who just pulled a 35 foot fifth wheel trailer maxed out in weight up to Alaska and back never getting below 13.5... He also told me he was passing the Chevrolets and Fords like they were standing still. That is a lot from this guy since 2 years ago he would have told you he wouldn't drive anything but a Chevy and now He will tell you he won't drive anything but a Dodge with the Cummins. Just my .02

Dodge Cummins = 1 helluva motor .. its the rest of the truck that is a POS!!!!!
BTW, did you know that Ford actually now owns the Cummins Diesel ????? Probably be seeing the Cummins in the Big Fords (550's and up) pretty soon ... :) and maybe the littler ones by 2010 ????
