ORANGE=Love or Hate Color

I have noticed that with my car...either you love the color or you hate it...no middle ground.

I was at a big car gathering last night. And a buddy of mine walks up and says...you know it is a nice car...but, orange...how could anyone drive a orange car...its so ugly. And spent the next minutes saying that.

Well I had another buddy of mine there saying, you got to be kidding! Then I played it off and said it took class to drive a orange car! :gt4her: :gt4her: Then I was ragging on his black cobra vert...just for fun. He has a nice car and a cool guy...but, I understand you don't like the color, but just to keep harping on it in front of our friends.

You know...to each his own...and he said that as well.

Moral of the story: You either love the color or you hate it.

And Jim...if you read this...I could never drive a vert! They are slow! :lmao: :lmao: :wink: :wink: :wink:

I know Swingle...like I said, I was playing with him. Does anyone remember RacingJason with the White Vert? I think he was in the Outlaw class and first to run in the 7s? I think he died later on in a accident.

I get people telling me that about a yellow car. But after they see it they like it. Only some cars can pull off wild colors.

I do think there is a middle though. I like Yellow better than orange, but orange better than other colors. :mick: I do not love nor hate the comp orange. I do love yellow on a stang though :happydanc

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm..........o kay at the risk of getting *****-slapped, I will say it. Orange is not my fave car color, but I like it better than that raspberry-purpley color I've seen in the past, not that anyone really cares about my opinion, BUT you asked. So there, you have it. But I do look when I see one.

OK...........here it is.........the color of your car and Macky's is fine--I actually kinda like it but not a color I would want. And I don't care for yellow (sorry Darren). But I will say I absolutely HATE the orange for the 07's they came out with.

Hey, like I said...too each his/her own. We all have. different tastes and thats what makes the world interesting. I just like some of the colors that you don't see all the time in ever other car going by...but, just my opinion...like everyone else.

when i first bought this car i had all sorts of people at work and neighbors coming up to me with their reaction! i'd say about of the people 70% hated it (but they certainly were not motorheads). they were like "is that your bright orange car?" :uhh:

even my girlfriend (at the time) was like wtf. actually she had a funny response when i told her that they were rare. she said, "uh yeah, i can see why!" :lol:

but i love it and it's my car so that is what counts. i think it is a great color for a muscle machine like our terminators. :mick:

Its like yesterday we were out driving and saw a candy purple expedition.
You may not like it ( I didnt ) but the owner wanted it that way and thats all that matters.

I will say this..... I used to hate the orange but after seeing them here and more of em, the color has grown on me. I think that I would own an orange car in the future.

I was not a fan of the other colours but I wouldnt mind a comp orange, or mystic, or even sonic blue stang.

I never wonder about it, (and doubt others do either) and if anyone thinks I'm gay because of the color of my car, I'd say it's their problem. I don't think people choose a color because they think OTHER people would like it. One exception might be a guy driving a pink car. :lol:

White is about as bright a color as there is.. so I dunno why Don is talking about Orange ( an obviously darker color than white..) being gay for being "bright". :lol:

Anywho, Orange has never been a favorite color of mine, but on the right car, it looks good. There are different hues, shades, and finishes..like opaque, or metallic, and 8/10 that I have seen lately look good on the car it is on.

The new Grabber Orange everyone seems to hate will grow on them.. once you see one in some aftermarket body kit, or with a Boss-themed stripe kit with different wheels... peoples minds will change. I remember topics like this when CO first came out.. no one really liked it either, now people want them cuz they're rare and different.

I would rather drive a Mustang that had a loud paint job (from the factory) for the sole purpose of being different. I don't want my Mustang to be like all the others that are on the road. I don't want to blend in.

I have to say that I really don't care for some colours on the cars... I saw a really hanious neon green with metal fleck, then some pimping sparkly tint job on the windows and they were rolling on dubs I think 22's. To me it screamed Geeeeeeeetoooooooooo! But hey I don't have to drive it!

The only time I want to hurl is when I see people do really jacked things to their cars... I saw this car two weeks ago, the owner apparently owned a Christmas shop, their newer model car (I CAN'T remember what type it was, my brain suppresses the memory to save me more trauma!) was covered in Santas, Christmas models an other winter type ornaments. It was horrible! :omg: It looked so tacky. If I can draw up the courage I will have to see if I can take a photo of it to post for you all.

As for a competition car... as long as their are not all of the colours of the rainbow on the one car I will not even make a weird face, their the ones that have to drive it and park it in their driveway. Not I.

Well...yes, but it directs you to the Comp Orange Section. I can't help it if we have a lot of people are posting in this section. I am glad it is starting to take off. Expect even more traffic when the word gets out. At least they arn't overloading the other forums and it is just this one (well 99% of the posting concerning this type of car).

Cant we all just get along? LOL My car is competition yellow because when I painted it I didnt like the yellows ford had out. Like it was said before, to each his own. Oh, and mine is still even different, it has gold pearl in it, so that should make it a color that no one has. I dont care who likes it and who dont. I do and that's all I care about. :mick: We should all take that approach to something as simple as a color. :D Orange rocks. Yellow rocks. Black rocks. White does too. Red also. So does blue. And even silver...well I lied about the silver. :lol: It's just a color....a prefrence. That is all. :wink:
