Ford to eliminate twist gas caps on all vehicles....

I think its a good idea. :mick: There isn't a place to hang the cap while your filling up so it just hangs down and lays on the paint and eventually puts scratches in the paint.

I know of some locking gas caps like at autozone and stuff but they dont make that many for stangs.

There are a few brands of locking gas caps for current stangs. I'm talking about the security of this no cap thing... some kid can just walk by and drop a few sticks in there...

Would at least prevent the lost gas cap problem. Don't care if I break a nail filling up though. lol

The cap on the Mach 1 is about as good as it gets. Pop it open and start filling. The best part is that it doesnt matter which side of the pump you pull into. Usually means a shorter wait since 98% of cars these days have filler necks on the drivers side.

That's my concern. Back home we have had bad problems with people sucking gas out of peoples vehicles.
