I'm so torn between turbo, kenne bell and whipple! Desert money needs to be well spent! I dont want to race the car nor do I want to chance the motor or rebuild it. So with that said lower boost levels are in need. I was simply thinking the polished whipple with a ton of cooling mods and fuel upgrades. What does everyone else think or what would you do?-Shane

i dont know what car this is for, im guessing a gt since you want low boost levels?
i would go with a roushcharger. Im very happy with mine on the roush. with only a SOHC 2v Gt motor and just 6psi the roush made 360hp and 375tq bone stock. not bad i dont guess when you compare it to the DOHC 4v cobras with 8psi that only make 30 more ponies.

I'm actually done with the GT and gonna put her back to stock and trade her in on a daily driver. This is for the Cobra and I am looking for about 17psi range. I'm thinking polished whipple at this point with cooling mods and fuel mods. I still want driveability and low end torque. Other thought is the 2.6 Kenne Bell which has great parts but under 20psi not much different than the Whipple. But over 20 its a beast of a supercharger-Shane

Go with the KB! Turboing the Cobra gets to be more expensive than upgrading the supercharger. :mick:

oh, i thought when you said low boost i thought you meant like under 13. ok, i'd go whipple with crower stage 3 cams and 60lb injectors. that oughtta scare the **** out of you :mick:

Pretty much made up my mind. The 2.6 kenne bell over 20 pounds of boost is unbeatable. I may end up running 25psi so thats the ticket. I just have sooo many supporting mods to buy before hand. -Shane

I can install your kit!
Lol, I'd lean more towards turbo. But hey, that's just me!

I vote turbos! I'll never go back to a blower, it's just to easy to make tons of power with turbos.

HA HA HA..I saw this post and was like..dummy..Turbo...wait OP is me?!?! Funny thing is I was here when I started that post and here I am again deployed nearly twice as long! I did go KenneBell though and 600rwhp is great with me. Gonna make it safer and maber gain a few more horses in the process. Need a better fuel system, long tubes, gages, MUCH BETTER TUNE, head studs, head gaskets, mid pipe to fit hte long tubes, boostapump. That should do it! But currently the Saleen is sucking all my money cause she is getting alot done to her at ANRmotorsports. -Shane
