Livonia based custom builder of Fords, Jack Roush has been busy over the past few years increasing his reach into the truck realm. Their “Stage F-150 trucks have grown increasingly popular. The Stage 3 in particular, with its 445hp supercharged 5.4 V8 has been a hit for those wanting both a vehicle for Home Depot and for the strip.
A more widely available special edition announced is the Roush 500RC. With special graphics, it adds big-time pickup to the F-150. Now in production and available at dealers nationwide, the 500RC is a true road runner thanks to 445 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque generated by the addition of a ROUSHcharger system. This is a substantial increase in power and performance over the 300 horsepower and 365 lb-ft of torque that is generated from the stock Ford factory 5.4L, 3-valve engine, and the entire truck, including the ROUSHcharger, is covered by Roush's industry-leading 3-year/36,000-mile warranty.
Additional Roush treatments include a dual rear exit high-performance exhaust system, 20-inch chrome wheels and tires, and a billet aluminum grille. Completing the styling and proving the heritage of the truck is the unique 500RC fender and tailgate badging, top and side stripe kit, and the serial badge in the engine compartment. Born from Roush Racing's NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series program, the 500RC is a perfect example of what lies between a race truck and a regular truck - a Roush truck. Other options include a ROUSH hood scope, rear spoiler, chin spoiler, leather, and performance instrument cluster.
