I have ROCK CHIPS!!!!!!

I have probably 10 rock chips on the hood of my precious!!! How do I go about fixing them without completely sanding the hood down and repainting? I tried the TurtleWax crap with the lipstick and that stuff does not work. :mad:

You really can't and make it look good, but you might try taking some single stage black paint, put a small drop on each chip (so it looks like they are all water drops) wait for it to dry (overnight) and BLOCK sand them level with 2000 grit wet sand paper and polish the 2000 grit scratches out. should look better, but maybe not perfect

Sorry to hear about the dings, but man in Texas it's hard to avoid em. I ended up actually putting a front cover on mine (aka bra). I got the Ford factory one. Fits nicely. Hope it helps, cause my T'bird got TORE up on the hood. Real bad. Wished they could use more asphalt down here :)

And dang, that reminds me. I need to finish the ding in the door edge ! Gotta build it up a bit more then sand it down. Luckily most of its on the inside edge. It was my fault, at a vacuum station. You can guess the rest.

Oh, and if anyone has (whats in the manual) a Torch Red, and go to get touch up at dealership, they wont know Torch Red believe it or not. Its color code D3, and they know it as Colorado Red. Go figure.
